2010 SUMMER CAMP


The campers will have fun learning all levels of riding.  Each camper will be assigned to one horse for the week and they will be exposed to information about horse health, handling, grooming and feeding.

Full day campers will participate in daily craft projects, will participate in a fun horse show on Friday where the parents are encouraged to come and watch and will receive a camp t-shirt at the end of the week.  Half day campers will also receive a camp t-shirt at the end of the week, however there is no show on Friday.

Safety is stressed at all levels with the use of safety stirrups, riding helmets and gentle lesson horses.

Arrangements for working parents with scheduling conflicts are available upon request.  Be sure to call ahead to make these arrangements.  We can usually arrange for one of the camp counselors to stay and care for these children.

Full Day Sessions are $300 and run Monday-Friday, 9AM - 3PM.  The campers groom their horses, ride for about an hour and a half in the morning, break for lunch and craft and then ride again for another hour and a half in the afternoon, finishing the day by bathing and feeding their horse.  Each session is limited to the first 20 registrations received with a 50% deposit.  Balance is due on the first day of camp.  Families with more than one student will receive a $25 discount on each student.

FULL DAY SESSIONS -

 Camp 1 May 31 - June 4
 Camp 2 June 7 - 11
 Camp 3 June 21 - 25
 Camp 4 July 5 - 9
 Camp 5 July 19 - 23
 Camp 6 Aug 2 - 6

Half Day sessions are $150 and run Monday-Friday, 9AM - 12Noon.  The campers will groom their horses,  ride for approximately an hour and a half, bathe and feed their horses.  Each session is limited to the first 20 registrations received with a 50% deposit.  Balance is due on the first day of camp.  Families with more than one student will receive a $25 discount on each student. Any full-day camps that do not fill will take 1/2 day campers from a waiting list for remaining spots.  There is no show on Friday for the 1/2 day camps.
